In fact, the greatest happiness for a woman is undoubtedly in her relationship. Many may disagree, but this is a personal insight I’d like to share.
Now middle-aged, I’ve experienced much in my marriage and family life, witnessing and hearing countless stories. Some couples suffer from long-term discord, others endure months of cold wars, their marriages stagnant and lifeless. Others have shattered parent-child relationships due to children’s education issues. In short, there are many problems.
I can only say that this isn’t what we women initially envisioned for marriage, this isn’t the family life we wanted. Why is it that with such abundant material wealth, people are less happy? What’s going on? We really need to rethink this issue.
I’m a post-80s generation. When I was young, my parents often argued over trivial matters, but I never heard the word “divorce.” Yet today’s young people, these so-called new-minded, new-educated young people, readily divorce over petty things. Does divorce really solve anything?
My feeling is that marriage requires effort and wisdom. There’s no right or wrong; both parties should contribute. Because a family is formed when two people come together because of love, if there is no love in marriage, what is the point of marriage? It will inevitably become stagnant. Therefore, when a marriage lacks love, please be aware of it and remember to inject love into it. When you come home from work, even a gentle hug, cooking a delicious meal, handing the child a specially bought milk tea, or a simple “Come home early”—these seemingly insignificant gestures are full of love. There are countless gaps in life where love can fill, as long as you are willing to discover them. It is precisely because of these seemingly insignificant little acts of love that the edifice of marriage and family life becomes unbreakable. So why don’t you, a wise woman, do it?
Dear female friends, family life is actually the place where we should invest our time and effort. Please seriously consider my words; it truly is the best investment with the highest returns. Even
the renowned scholar of Chinese classics, Professor Zeng Shiqiang, has a daughter and daughter-in-law who are both highly educated and stay at home to support their husbands and raise their children. Being a good wife and mother isn’t just for highly educated, high-income families. Given the current situation in our country, ordinary families can also be devoted to this role.
If your family life hasn’t reached the point where women absolutely need to work, being a housewife isn’t a bad thing; on the contrary, it’s a worthwhile endeavor.
By investing your energy in family life, your husband and children will find greater healing. Please don’t say things like, “How can I help my husband buy a house and a car if I don’t have money?” or “How can I provide a better education for my children?” Please understand that what a family needs most isn’t a mother who works hard outside the home, but rather a calm, joyful mother who manages the household well. A person’s energy is limited; you can’t attend to everything.
Therefore, women must make choices, because life is a process of constant choices. My own feeling is that we should focus our energy on family; this choice will lead to a more fulfilling life.
Most women are emotional; why make yourself so stressed? Let men shoulder the responsibility of providing for the family. Don’t overstep your bounds. Live a peaceful and joyful life every day; that’s what brings peace and joy to your husband and children. Isn’t this a paradise on earth? Aren’t you a winner in life?
